FUTURE OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH

The Catholic Church is expected to have fewer clergy in coming years.  The Archdiocese of Cincinnati is proactively addressing this coming problem by creating pastoral regions.  These pastoral regions are seen as a long-term tool for maintaining ministries through cooperation and collaboration of the parishes within each region of each deanery, when only 100 pastors may serve the archdiocese.  More can be read about the overview of this project here.

Immaculate Conception is actively engaged in the planning process of the Dayton Deanery.  We are part of region 6 with St. Helen's, and both parishes are partnering with Ascension.

The newest partnering/regional news is displayed on our home page.  You can read past partnering and regional news on our Regional and Partnering blog.
