God our Father,
Your Son Jesus called his disciples and said,
You did not choose me, but I chose You.
We thank you that you consider us worthy to be disciples of your Son.
You have chosen us to be today's disciples in today's world.

We come to you, Father,
as a community of disciples.
We bring you our Parish; Transform us into a sign of your Kingdom.
We bring our families;
May each family be a domestic church,
nuturing new disciples for the future.
We bring you ourselves
We are disciples "on the way"
seeking to follow you in our weaknesses.
Use us, Lord, for the sake of your Kingdom.

As disciples-
In fedelity
may we love YOU above all things
In hope
may we come to you in daily prayer. In charity
may our faith turn into action.
In justice
may we act on behalf of the oppressed.
In freedom
may we set others free in forgiveness.
In service
may we provide for the needs of your church.
In faith
may we all seek "first" your Kingdom.

We ask these things in the name of the same Jesus
who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit.
